Susie said the seeds of the Lotus flower are very sweet.

The harvest the lotus roots in the fall to eat and use the leaves to cook with rice - it turns the rice green and flavors it as well. She told me there isn't anything the Chinese waste - they eat it all. :)

This man paid to have his ears cleaned. We should have brought AJ with us after all because he could use a good ear cleaning. ahahaha! ;)

Walking down a street in Chengdu waiting for a cab - came across some interesting shops. Selling pork and chicken feet and Susie's favorite - Chicken stomachs. ewwww. Again, she reminded me "we eat everything! Nothing to waste." :)
