Half The Sky

As we pray for our son half a world away, we are so comforted to know he is being nurtured in a Half The Sky program. George Mason's photo sits in the middle of our kitchen table. We LOVE having him be a part of our family meals and seeing his cute little face each time we walk by. AJ is excited to bring him home! He can't wait to have another brother! And, it has been really sweet to see our little girls grow so much love already for their baby brother who they affectionately call Curious George. I just love how they lay their little heads on the table next to George Mason's photo and sweetly whisper conversations to him. "Hi buddy! We miss you!" and "You will come home soon. Okay?"

They are constantly telling me how much they love him and how much they miss him. My heart is so heavy realizing that he is in Ch*na right now and he doesn't even know how much he is loved. How often his Daddy opens his wallet to show off so lovingly the photo of "my son". :) It so sweet. We are beyond excited to welcome him into our family! Praying God will make a way for us to travel in 1/2 the time! This process is so up in the air. Some families receive the necessary clearances in mere weeks, while others are waiting anxiously for months. There is no rhyme or reason that any of us can see.

Right now we are still finishing up our home study. Our last of 3 meetings is schedule for Friday. We have several documents that have not come yet, so we are praying they arrive soon. It is hard to wait on agencies to mail back the documents you need. No one is in a big hurry to make anything urgent. You sorta pray and wait until they decide to process what you requested. Praying that once we have all of our documents in Ch*na, that the process will go smoothly and quickly. Until then, I thank God for sending Half the Sky angels to minister and nurture our son until my arms can hold him.
